"Borley Rectory"
by Verity Lewis
Borley Rectory stands alone,
But never alone inside,
Doors bang,
windows
slam,
Boards creak,
mice
squeak
Objects fly,
and a
haunting cry,
Keys turn
but the
house burns.
Ghosts white,
deadly as the night,
A Nun walks
and the
village talks,
The house dies
but
the spirits rise,
Cold air
but beware!
Bells ring
with the
fluter of a wing,
Borley Rectory
stands alone no more.
